TDS Certificate Form No. 16A : Another bug in Tally.erp 9

Here is an another big bug in tally.erp 9.

I am posting my mail and reply from the Tally team on the matter. the bug is that in tally.erp 9 the form no. 16A, TDS certificate doesn’t print correctly! My God! it is time to issue TDS certificate to our suppliers and only after raising the problem by me to tally team they are saying that they will modify the same. When ? I Don’t know when they will do ?

The extract of the reply from Tally suport is as follow:

Dear Customer,

This is with reference to your email regarding TDS Form 16A. we would like to inform you that we have already noted the issue and we are working on it. Once the same is rectified, we will inform you through mail or upload the details on our website.

For further clarifications if any, please feel free to revert.

Dear Tally team

Please refer the attachment and do the needful since we have
to issue TDS certificates to our suppliers and if the form doesn’t print
properly then how we can issue the same to our supplier

In form no 16-A there is a detailed list of all the heads/income which
is liable for TDS. In form no 16-A, all this heads are required to be
printed as per below :

Certificate of deduction of tax at
source under section 203 of the Income – Act, 1961

For interest on securities; dividends interest other than
“interest on securities”; winnings from lottery or crossword
puzzle; winning from hourse race; payments to contractors and
subcontractors;…………….. income of foreign
Institutional investors from securities referred to in section 196D.

Surprisingly in print preview for form no. 16-A, all this head are
there visible but while printing form no. 16-A it print only the first line out
all the above head as per below:

For interest on securities; dividends interest other than
“interest on securities”; winnings from lottery or crossword
puzzle; winning from ho.

Rest everything print perfectly

However I don’t think if it is valid since form no. 16-A is a
legal document and it must in line with the standard rules for printing form
no. 16-A
